![]() ![]() Edit 3/12/18- I've since modified my overall rating for a couple reasons: 1) BIM Object contacted me and was able to clarify precisely why models were created this way and clear up any misunderstandings and 2) Revit has since been updated so that a family's category can be changed easily, making this a much smaller issue than it used to be. ![]() This isn't something that is BIM Object's fault (since they're user-made) but it has created some real problems when I'm trying to schedule furniture and pieces aren't populating because they're made from a 'generic' template. On the day to day though, the bigger issue to me is that not all the models created are exactly as advertised- furniture pieces being made from generic templates, ceiling lights made as face-mounted, etc. Eventually I was able to get access to an old online Revit library with the help of Autodesk staff to get the specific models I needed.
